Secom Celebrates International Security Officers Day

Secom Australia are proud to participate in International Security Officers Day, a fantastic initiative recognising the great work our security personnel perform each and every day.

A global security industry initiative, International Security Officers’ Day is now celebrated in a wide variety of counties across the world including Australia, Bangladesh, Canada, China, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Macau, India, Ireland, Italy, Singapore, Sri Lanka, United Kingdom, USA and Thailand.

The long-term goal is to build enough support around the world to petition to the United Nations to formally declare 24th July, each and every year as International Security Officers’ Day to recognise the contribution made by the often nameless and unseen thousands of security officers in helping to keep us safe.

To help highlight the great work our frontline security personnel perform each day, we tasked our Client Service Managers with nominating members of our security staff who deserved special recognition for their efforts throughout the year.

At Secom we have always believed that our people are our greatest asset. International Security Officers Day is just one way in which we can show our appreciation for the frontline personnel who go above and beyond in the course of their duties.
