Secom Employee Volunteers for Cobargo Bushfire Clean-Up
A letter of recognition from Geoff Evans, the CEO of Team Rubicon was received by Secom for Lyle Marshall’s contribution of his time and expertise to the bushfire relief operations. Secom Australia are proud to highlight the efforts of Lyle Marshall, our Secom Monitoring Centre Officer in giving back to individuals and organisations in their hour of need whilst displaying the same attributes that ensure they project our Secom values to the greater community.
As a member of this Volunteer Organisation , Lyle was deployed to the town of Cobargo to assist in vital restoration and support work after the recent devastation wrought by bushfires. A 12-year air force veteran, Lyle was able to put his experience to the test as he raced to help many Cobago residents and the Cobargo Wildlife Sanctuary in the felling and removing of trees, repair of fences and monumental clean-up required in the wake of the fires.
Whilst their work in this restoration and clean-up process is of the utmost importance, one of the main roles they find themselves providing is that of emotional support for the shattered residents.
