Secom officially launches our Reconciliation Action Plan

19 February 2024

This week Secom Australia held the official launch ceremony for our Reconciliation Action Plan.

A range of special guests and performers attended, with the aim of capturing the imaginations of our staff and stakeholders, increasing understanding, and embedding commitment in staff members at all levels.

The day was a great success, featuring a smoking ceremony, didgeridoo performance, cultural competency talks, indigenous food, an outline of our objectives, and an unveiling and explanation of our commissioned artwork and the meaning behind it.

We’d like to thank everyone who attended, and we look forward to maintaining this momentum as we plan our involvement in future events such as Reconciliation Week, and NAIDOC week.

We hope you’ll join us in celebrating and respecting the vibrant living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, as we strive to increase our respect, understanding, and employment/procurement initiatives.
